We are delighted to launch our first ever Lan-Tarn Fest which is being held here at Barnsley Hospital!
This wonderful, winter event celebrates love, life and hope for people in and around Barnsley.
Lan-Tarn Fest 2017 will be held on Thursday 16th November at the front of Barnsley Hospital, Gawber Road from 5pm until 8pm.
Every penny raised will help us to continue to provide support to the people of Barnsley!
Dedicate a Lan-Tarn
Lan-Tarn packages will be available to purchase before and during the event. You may choose to dedicate a Lan-tarn to a loved one you have lost and include their name and a message in our Book of Dedication. Or you may choose to decorate a Lan-Tarn in celebration of recovery or successful treatment and include a message of thanks to the wards/team or teams that helped you on your road to recovery in our Book Of Appreciation. However you may simply wish to decorate one of our Lan-tarns as a symbol of hope or to make a special wish.
Our Lan-Tarn Packages includes:
- Lan-Tarn ready for decoration
- LED Tea Light (Battery Operated – No real candles please)
- Postcard for your message into our Book of Dedication or Book of Appreciation
These cost just £4 with all profits going directly to Barnsley Hospital Charity. If you wish to per-order your Lan-Tarn Package, please complete the form at the bottom of this page. Otherwise you can pop along to the cashiers office and complete the Lan-Tarn Package Order form.
What can we expect on the night?
On the evening there will be the opportunity to decorate your Lan-Tarn if you haven’t already done so and from 6.30pm onwards there will be our ‘Laying of the Lan-Tarns’ on the grass outside the hospital where we hope to complete a wonderful giant symbol of love and hope.
Throughout the event there will also be a variety of different stalls selling items such beauty products, children’s books and crafts, jewellery, homemade jams and sauces! There will also be musical entertainment, fun games and a range of hot food and refreshments.
